Where country meets city

The RA&HS is a not-for-profit organisation that celebrates excellence in agriculture and horticulture through competition and events.  For 185 years it has also been the custodian of South Australia’s longest running and most-loved community and family event, the Royal Adelaide Show.

The Show brings together country and city communities to celebrate excellence and innovation and to educate and connect in a vibrant carnival atmosphere. Hands-on learning helps to introduce South Australians to the people and places that grow their food and fibre. It’s also place of connection, where core family memories are carried and treasured for generations.

The Royal Adelaide Show is an important event for RA&HS, not only to increase awareness about the State’s agriculture and horticulture industries but to generate funds that support them. Proceeds from the Show are invested back into agricultural and horticultural industries through education initiatives, scholarships, funding and sponsorship.
