Media Accreditation is now open

Please read before applying
The Royal Agricultural & Horticultural Society of SA Inc require any broadcast, print and internet media and /or photographers assigned to cover the Royal Adelaide Show to apply for media accreditation prior to gaining access to the venue. Please note there are a limited accreditation passes available and accreditation will be supplied to professional working media only. Only staff directly involved in Royal Show coverage/stories will be allocated a media pass. We require all companies/businesses to list staff members, their positions and Show duties.
All broadcast, print and internet media and /or photographers applying for media accreditation are required to download a copy of their Public Liability Insurance.
Private bloggers and non-commercial amateur media outlets will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Media Accreditation is at the discretion of the Royal Adelaide Show, and may approve or deny media access at any time, i.e. inappropriate behaviour or violation of event rules.
Submitting a request for media accreditation does not guarantee access.
Media Accreditation applications will be open until Wednesday 31 July 2019 via theshow.com.au. Media applications after this deadline and up to/including on the day will only be accepted in exceptional circumstances.
If you are filming or taking photographs at the Show you will need to complete the Photography and Filming Request form.
Important information for freelance journalists, photographers or production/companies.
In order to gain accreditation you must upload a letter at the end of your application from your editor/producer/employer, on an official company letterhead confirming your assignment to cover the Royal Adelaide Show. Please note if you are a freelance journalist, photographer or production/company and do not upload this information, your application will be considered incomplete and will not be processed. The letter must include:
- The type, extent and focus of the planned coverage
- The primary market, circulation size and target audience of the outlet
- For online media, information on publication frequency, average number of daily hits and visitor statistics (unique visitors and page views)
- For photographers: the intended use of photographs taken eg. for sale on business website for exhibitor to purchase
If accreditation is approved you will be notified by email. All passes must be collected from the Royal Adelaide Show office prior to the start of the Show (30 August).
