Foodbank On The Road To Feed Those In Need

The Royal Adelaide Show is entering its sixth year supporting Foodbank South Australia to put food on the table of those who would otherwise go without. Foodbank is South Australia’s largest food relief agency, supplying food to more than 520 welfare agencies and community groups and supporting more than 400 schools across Adelaide’s metro, regional, country and remote areas. Over 102,718 South Australians rely on Foodbank’s services every month, with one third of them children.

Foodbank will be exhibiting this year as part of the 2018 Yellow Brick Road in the Jubilee Pavilion. Foodbank supporter, Brumby’s, will be supplying products for the trail. So make sure you participate in the Yellow Brick Road this year and you will be supporting Foodbank to put food on the table of those in need. Foodbank will be selling merchandise including super hero capes and there will be free competitions for the kids at their fun-filled exhibit!

In addition to the Yellow Brick Road, Foodbank volunteers will be collecting gold coin donations at the gates on the Show’s second Friday, 7 September. A donation of $2 will put more than 4 meals on the table of those Foodbank support.

Over the past years Show-goers and exhibitors have donated enough to feed 5,000 families doing it tough. Foodbank’s main belief is that no one should go hungry and we can all do something to join the fight against hunger in South Australia. To find out more please visit www.foodbanksa.org.au
